Short Biography

John Jason Phillips is an award-winning American author of literary fiction based in Dallas, Texas. His twelve published novels explore themes of human connection, resilience, and the extraordinary moments hidden within ordinary lives. Phillips' work has been recognized with 24 literary awards, including the PEN/Bellwether Prize, the International Dublin Literary Award, and multiple New York Times Bestseller designations. His novels have been translated into 15 languages and have sold over 850,000 copies worldwide.

Phillips holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia University and a BA in English Literature from the University of Texas at Austin. He is the founder of the Writing Futures mentorship program for emerging authors from underrepresented communities.
